CLAUCHLANDS VIEW - BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the following carefully. By signing these terms and conditions, you shall be acknowledging that all members of the party are in agreement. This contract is made under Schedule 4 Section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 and thereby gives you the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only. Scottish law applies to all contractual obligations arising from these booking conditions.

General

The accuracy of all information given is correct at time of booking. You will be notified of any changes which may affect your holiday immediately.

Liability

The owner is not liable for any damage or loss of possessions that may occur whilst staying at the property

Availability

The keys will be available from 3pm on the day of your arrival until 10 am on the departure day unless otherwise agreed. The keys will be available from Clauchlands main farm house.

Occupation
The number of people occupying the property must not exceed six.

The property or any of its contents must not be sub-let.

The property and all its contents must be kept in clean and tidy condition (fair wear and tear expected). You will be liable to the owner for any costs, loss, or claims arising from any damage caused to the property and/or its contents by deliberate/negligent acts or omissions by you or any person in the party.

Pets

Pets of any kind are not allowed on the property.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed on the property.

Payment

The following displays the 2008 weekly rates, deposits necessary at the time of booking and the remaining amount, payable 4 weeks prior to the holiday date.

Provisional bookings will be held for 10 days to allow time for the return of the booking form and deposit cheque.
After that time it will be presumed that you do not wish the property and the dates will be released.

Cancellation

If you decide to cancel your holiday please inform the owner immediately so that they can attempt to re-let the property.

If you cancel your holiday more than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday date , then all monies paid will be returned to you less £25 administration costs.

If you cancel tour holiday less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday date, all monies will be returned less the full deposit. If the property is re-let, then the deposit less £25 will be returned.

Farm Safety

Please remember that Clauchlands is a working dairy farm and as such tractors, milk tankers, haulage lorries, quad bikes and excavating/lifting machines move in and around the area. In order to enjoy your holiday here at Clauchlands as safely as possible, please adhere to the following:

Guests with children, please ensure that the gate to Clauchlands View is closed when you are in and out of the property thereby ensuring that the garden area is fully enclosed and safe for playing within.

Please close all shut gates on the farmland behind you.

Please do not allow young children to wander over to the farm buildings unsupervised as farm vehicles are frequently in these areas.

If you do arrange to come and observe the cows, please ensure that children supervised at all times and that all members of the party thoroughly wash their hands after being near or touching the animals.
